The Cook County High School girls’ basketball team bowed out of the playoffs with an 86-33 loss to the Cherry Tigers.
The game was played March 2.
Earlier in the season, in December 10, the Vikings fell 67-17 to the Tigers.
With the loss the Vikings record fell to 5-14 while Cherry upped its record to 14-10.
The Vikings lose two senior starters off this year’s squad, and both were captains. Senior forward Rhonnie Poyirier was the team’s leading scorer and top rebounder. Anna Hay was the guard that rarely shot the ball but was often paired on defense against the other team’s scorer.
