Barnum got out of the gate fast and put up four runs in the first inning while holding the Cook County Vikings scoreless in the May 11 softball game played in Barnum.
The Vikings scored two runs in the third inning, but Barnum came back with six runs of their own. The Bombers led 12-2 after four innings, which ended the game because of the ten-run rule.
Katie Peck took the mound for Cook County. Katie gave up 11 runs on four hits in three innings, striking out four. Kalie Anderson pitched one inning in relief.
Despite losing, the Vikings out hit the Bombers five to four.
Five Vikings each got one hit in the game: Katie Peck, Hattie Crotteau, Charlet Waver, Kallie Anderson, and Allie Duclos.
Barnum batters walked 12 times while only one Viking received a walk. The Vikings committed four errors to none for Barnum and the Vikings struck out seven times to four for the Bombers.
Charlet Waver had the lone RBI for the Vikings.
