Girls Gone North seeks business participants




Bluefin Bay Resort will hold its 2010

Girls Gone North” weekend Nov. 12-14 at Bluefin Bay, Surfside on Lake Superior, and Temperance Landing. This is the third annual Girls Gone North weekend, and again this year Bluefin Bay is bringing back the Women’s Expo spotlighting woman-owned businesses on the North Shore.

Highlights of Girls Gone North 2010 include Friday night happy hour with singer Rachel Kilgour; yoga, spa treatments and mini-spa samplers; Saturday afternoon beauty and skin care workshops; outdoor guided hikes; complimentary wine and cheese reception on Saturday night; Saturday evening keynote session; Saturday Women’s Expo featuring North Shore artisans, retailers and all-around great women who have taken the plunge to start or run their own businesses.

Woman-owned businesses on the North Shore are invited to participate in the Women’s Expo, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held in the Lakeside Ballroom at Surfside on Lake Superior. TheWomen’s Expo is a unique opportunity to join with other female entrepreneurs from Two Harbors to Grand Marais to market products and/or services, network with other women, and showcase the economic vitality and creativity of women on the North Shore.

Complimentary space in the Women’s Expo includes the use of one six-foot table with a tablecloth and basic business name signage. You can sell your wares, show off your latest new product, network for your business, distribute marketing materials – whatever you decide. The format is open and people will come and go throughout the day.
