Girls fall to Floodwood


The Cook County Vikings traveled to Floodwood on January 31 to take on the Floodwood Polar Bears and it would turn out to be a long bus ride home as the Vikings lost 62-33.

Katie Peck was the one Viking to score in double figures. Katie finished with 14 points, two of her baskets were three pointers. Amelia Brune finished with five points, Elaina Deshampe had four, Molly Three, Amery Oberg two, Wei Lani Likiaka two, and MaTaya Fairbanks had one point.

With the loss the Vikings record fell to 3-10 overall and 3-7 in conference play. Floodwood upped its record to 10-5 overall and 8-2 in the conference.

The Vikings last home game is this Friday, February 3 against Barnum. The game starts at 6:30 p.m. Come out and cheer for your Vikings!
