Girls fall to Cromwell

Playing without their starting center, Paisley Smith, the Vikings lost to the Cromwell Cardinals by a large margin on Tuesday, falling 71-31.

This was a make-up game for an earlier scheduled contest delayed because of COVID-19 contact by several players.

Ariana Poyirier was held largely in check, scoring only 12 points. Her sister, Rhonnie was the only other Viking on double figures with ten points. Katie Peck finished with seven and Kamryn Johnson had two points.

“The girls struggled with intensity, boxing out and missed shots,” said Head Coach Kelly Hawsen.

The girls have two more games before playoffs start on March 15.
