Mark your calendars, dads of Cook County girl scouts, because on Feb. 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the I.S.D. 166 school cafeteria you finally get a chance to show off your fancy dance moves to your daughter(s).
You might not be able to do Michael Jackson’s Moonwalk, but within a minute (or two) of instruction you should all be able to do the current, latest, greatest dance, the Floss. Or at the least even the non-dancers can fall back on the Cook County Lumberjack Stomp.
A grand march will take place at 7 p.m.
Alyce’s will cater the event and the North Shore Community Swing Band will play.
There will be pictures by Bruce Johnson and a small gift for girls.
Girls are welcome with dads, grandfathers or any other trusted adult. Cost is $25 for dad and all daughters.
Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!
