Girl Scouts bring Santa’s Workshop to life

Cook County Girl Scouts are bringing Santa’s Workshop to life on Saturday, December 1 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Join the Scouts in the basement of the First Congregational Church at 300 West 2nd Street for a day filled with holiday shopping, great food, and crafts for kids.

Santa’s Workshop is a place for kids to shop with the help of a Girl Scout “elf ” and find a gift for everyone in the family. Kids’ shopping prices range from 50 cents to $2.00. Parents have a separate shopping area. Shopping starts at 9 a.m. and goes to 2 p.m.

The day starts at 7 p.m. with a fabulous pancake breakfast and continues with a light lunch from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

There are free crafts for kids and even a free childcare area so parents can do their own “secret shopping.”
