Our Girl Scout Troop, No. 4135, went to Golden Eagle Lodge for a day of fun! We made enough money in 2011 selling cookies to pay for our overnight. We had a fun time.

We got to go cross country skiing at Golden Eagle Lodge. Several of us had never been on skis before. That was a lot of fun. We had a great cabin too.

After a day of skiing, we got to go to Okontoe, to go for a sleigh ride. That was so much fun, we are still talking about it. The horses that pulled our sleigh were named Bob and Duke. It was dark when we were in the sleigh, but they had lanterns that lighted the way for us.

After our sleigh ride, we were treated to hot cocoa and a bonfire. We made s’mores by the fire and enjoyed the evening together.

The next morning, when we were heading home, we all agreed how much fun it was, and how we can’t wait for our next adventure!

Thank you to the Baumanns and the Pattons for all the fun we had.
