Gift certificates for food available to Cook County residents



The Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) program has partnered with Ruby’s Pantry to distribute gift certificates to people living in Cook County. The gift certificates are good for one $20 share. Donations were made from our community to cover the cost of the gift certificates to support food access in Cook County. thank you to all of the people that donated! These certificates are free to community members who ask for them.

There are no income qualifications, no requirements, no questions asked. There are no restrictions on how many times a community member can request a gift certificate. They are available to anyone who needs them. If you have questions, please contact the Cook County SHIP Coordinator, Andrea Orest, at andrea@sawtoothmountainclinic.org or 218-877- 8262.

The gift certificates are available upon request at the following locations: Grand Portage Human Services/ Food Shelf; Grand Portage Elderly Nutrition Program; Cook County YMCA; Cook County Food Shelf; Cook County Schools: ISD 166; GES Charter School; Birch Grove Charter School; Oshki Ogimaag Charter School; Cook County Public Health and Human Services; The WIC Program; Sawtooth Mountain Clinic; and the Cook County Senior Center (The Hub).
