Get Your Ticket Now for E.A.T.S.

Get them while they’re hot! Those 125 tickets are going quickly as our community’s favorite fundraiser for ISD 166, E.A.T.S. returns. Tickets can be purchased for $30 at Subway or at the school’s main office and must be purchased prior to the event.

There are ten local food vendors or restaurants committed to participate in the Enriching Academic Through Sustenance event from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 9. Tasty samples including roasted pork belly with a blood orange BBQ sauce, turkey meatballs, and walleye cakes are examples of some of the main dishes being served. In addition to local food vendors, ISD 166 Culinary Arts students (under the direction of teacher Tom Nalezny) will provide several delectable items, always including some fabulous desserts!

After you stroll the halls and fill your plate, make sure to come to the school cafeteria. The secondary school choir under the direction of Cindy Johnson will perform beginning at 5 p.m., followed by the North Shore Swing Band being directed by Kathy Bolstad. One can’t forget there will be a solo performance by Ben Obinger from 6:30-7:00 p.m. as the silent auction closes and individuals pick up and pay for their experiences and items at the tables by the Eagle Doors.

The Cook County Schools Education Foundation is excited for the event to return after a two year “pause” due to COVID. Their board members have been busy around the county picking up donations from local businesses for their silent auction. In the silent auction, one will find custom-made tables, vintage jewelry, linens, a necklace made specifically for EATS by the Jeweler of the North, and a wide variety of gift certificates for goods and services (Cedar Grove Veterinary Clinic, North Lake Wellness, North House Folk School, Johnson’s Foods, Subway, and North Shore Winery, to name a few). There are some incredibly unique experiences being auctioned off such as a two night stay in one of the domes at Klarhet, drone video, photography, and editing being provided by Cascade Vacation Rental, and even an airplane flight out of the GM/CC Airport provided by Sawtooth Aviation.

Buy your ticket NOW to support our students, eat fabulous local cuisine while listening to music, and outbid your friends and neighbors on that gorgeous custom necklace or airplane flight you’ve been wanting to take over the BWCA and Lake Superior during peak color in the fall! EATS has it all, and it is hoped all our school supporters will return to EATS on Thursday,

March 9. See you there!
