With so much conflicting information available, it can be hard to know what’s healthy to eat, and good nutrition can feel like a moving target. Take fat, for instance. Dietary fat has both been demonized (remember the years of no-fat everything?), and celebrated (today’s popular keto diet).
But what’s the real skinny on fats?
Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and Cook County Public Health and Human Services are co-sponsoring a class that will help participants find the answers they need on topics such as: what are different kinds of fats and how do they impact our health; what’s the deal with Omega 3s; how to cope with food cravings, feeling hungry, feeling full, and weight loss
Mary W. Zbaracki of St. Luke’s Clinical Nutrition and Diabetes Care will be presenting. Join us on Monday, November 12 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. in the Sawtooth Mountain Clinic classroom in the lower level. There is no cost. RSVPs aren’t required but are appreciated.
If you can’t make it in person, this class will be livestreamed on Facebook that night, so that viewers can participate from home. It will also be archived, so that you can watch later at your convenience.
To RSVP or for more information, email hartley@sawtoothmountainclinic.org or call 218-387-2330.
