Get moving during “Get Active Week”

Dust off your bike and put on your walking shoes during the first annual Get Active Cook County Week May 17-23.

The event is designed to increase physical activity by encouraging walking and biking. Participants are asked to pick up a packet and register at Superior North Outdoor Center (the bike shop), 13 S. Broadway in Grand Marais, by May 17. Daily logs will be used to determine which individuals and businesses accumulate the most activity. In addition, participants will be eligible to win fabulous prizes.

As a finale, there will be a brunch and recreational bike ride to Naniboujou on May 23. Businesses are encouraged to participate as well.
