Gear up for Sawtooth Mountain Challenge

Don’t put your mountain bike away just yet!

On October 22, Pincushion Mountain Trail system will once again be the site of the Sawtooth Mountain Bike Challenge and everyone from novice to expert riders are invited to enter.

Trail riding enthusiasts can enter one of three races, a Citizen 8-mile single track event will be set up for beginners and citizen racers; the Sport Race, a 16-mile affair pedaled mostly on single track trails; and the Expert Race, a 21-mile endurance adventure set across the most difficult single track trails complete with rocky drops and tricky traverses.

“The Sport Race will be a 16-mile affair, mostly on single-track, but avoiding a few of the most technical sections of the trail. You will ride fast and shred hard and finish all smiles (and experience lots and lots of mud),” said race promoter Jay Arrowsmith DeCoux.

There will also be a Kid’s Race, which will be open for children ages 3-8 years old.
