From the Hack

at the Cook County Curling Club

The Cook County Curling Club is finishing up its curling season this week. Regular league finished on the 12th of March and league play-downs started the week after.

With play-downs the teams are seeded according to how well they did during regular league.

On Monday, March 26, the game played between Mark Pederson and Brian Smith was a very close and fun game to watch. Mark Pederson made some outstanding and difficult shots to score for his rink. In the seventh end the score was B. Smith, 7, M. Pederson, 6. Brian Smith had the hammer going into the eighth end and scored with his last rock to win the game.

At press time, his team was playing against the Steve Hudler team for the Open League Championship on Wednesday, March 28. Watch for the results of that game in an upcoming News from the Hack.
