The Minnesota Waterfowl Association is sponsoring a free weeklong camp for kids 13-15 in Fergus Falls. Camp will be held August 6-12. There is a $150 deposit, but it is refunded back, so the camp cost is free…there is also scholarship money for families that can’t afford the deposit out of pocket.
Woodie Camp is a great experience for kids interested in the outdoors and hunting. It is located in the Prairie Wetland Learning Center (PWLC) on 325-acres of rolling land that is blanketed with northern tall grass prairie and speckled with 28 wetlands. The center strives to fulfill a primary mission of waterfowl production and wetland protection. The fulfillment of these goals affords a superb stage for environmental education. The PWLC is unique in that it’s the first residential environmental facility operated by the USFWS. MWA is excited to be able to take advantage of this great resource.
