Three CCHS distance runners advanced through the Section 7A-South Sub-Section track meet held in Esko on June 3.
Moving on to the section finals are Anna Hay and Malin Anderson in the 1600-meter run, and Olya Wright in the 3200 meters.
Anna Hay ran a PR 5:49.1 to place sixth in the 1600 meters. Malin Anderson finished in eighth place crossing the finish line in 6:00.84.
Olya Wright placed seventh in the 3200-meter run with a time of 13:19.59.
For the boys, senior miler Kevin Viren finally cracked the five-minute mark, running 4:58.35 to finish in eighth place in the boys’ field.
