The Flute Reed Partnership, a “Community Watershed Effort,” will be holding its annual meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11 at the Hovland Town Hall.
Formed in 2006, the non-profit organization’s mission is to “foster stewardship within the community to maintain, restore and enhance the watershed health of the Flute Reed River.” Anyone interested in how the group is working to fulfill its mission is invited to the meeting.
Flute Reed Partnership board member Rick Schubert encouraged the public to come see a presentation by former Cook County Water Planner Dave Stark on the results of the Flute Reed monitoring program. “He will present information on our temperature probes and all the water quality data in easy to understand graphs and charts,” said Schubert.
The Partnership will also review current projects and discuss ideas for the future. “We’d like your input!” said Schubert.
Schubert added, “We’ll have coffee and treats from Lisa’s and good Hovland fellowship.”
