Florence (Kloss) Wehseler, 96-year-old resident of Little Falls, MN formerly of Tofte, MN passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022, at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls, MN, A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Patrick Hoeft officiating. Burial will take place in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 A.M. on Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. Christian Mothers will pray the rosary at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday at Church, caring for Florence and her family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN.

Florence Helen Kloss was born on January 6, 1926, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Julius and Helen (Perliberg) Kloss. She moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota after high school and worked for Char-Gale, where she built airplane fuselages for C46. Florence was one of many women known as “Rosie the Riveter” during WWII and did this until the end of the war. She married Henry Wehseler on September 6, 1945, and the couple moved to Alemeda Navy Base in California until Henry was discharged. After, they moved to Sawbill Landing, where Florence worked at a grocery store in Isabella, Minnesota. In 1962, Florence and Henry moved to Tofte, Minnesota and built The North Shore Market with partners. Later, the couple bought out the partners and Florence operated the store until her retirement at 72 years young. Henry and Florence moved to Little Falls, Minnesota to spend her retirement with her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Florence is survived by her sons, Richard (Lori) Wehseler of Duluth, MN; Gary (Cindy) Wehseler of St. Bonifacius, MN; and Bill (Rita) Wehseler of Tofte, MN; siblings, Richard (Helen) Kloss, Babe Otremba, and Rita Vosen; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; parents, Julius and Helen Kloss; and brothers, Earl Kloss, and Chuckie Kloss.
