Bouquets brighten the Schroeder Town Hall at the West End Garden Club Show.

The West End Garden Club on the North Shore Lake Superior will present 74th annual flower show from

1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 18 the Schroeder Town Hall. This is an informal showing, which illustrates the range of flowers found in local gardens and the wild.

Theshow is free and open to the public.

This year the club will combine flowers with old favorite tunes in a Floral Hit Parade, which will transform the Schroeder Town Hall into a parade of lovely floral arrangements. In addition, an art exhibit featuring floral themes will be presented by guest artist Barbara Sartorius-Bjelland.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon strolling among the beautiful flowers and the artistic display, while listening to some of your favorite recorded “oldie” tunes — and be sure to stop for refreshments at the tea table!

The West End Garden Club was founded in 1935 and includes members from Lutsen to Little Marais. Monthly meetings include guest speakers who present topics of general interest to gardeners.
