Several arrests for selling controlled substances were made in recent weeks stemming from an investigation begun by Cook County Law Enforcement in February 2013.
On February 27, 2013, Cook County Sheriff ’s Deputies learned from a reliable confidential informant that it might be possible to purchase a “Perc 7.5” from Robert Joseph Gotchie, 31, Grand Marais. According to the complaint filed in Cook County court, a meeting was arranged and one hydrocodone pill was purchased for $10. Gotchie was charged with possessing or selling a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a felony.
A second meeting was arranged for March 4 and according to court documents, six oxycodone pills were exchanged for $15 a pill, resulting in another felony charge of possessing or selling a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a felony.
A warrant was issued for Gotchie’s arrest on April 2 and his first court appearance was April 9. His next hearing before Judge Michael Cuzzo in Cook County court is May 7, 2013.
An investigation also began on February 27 of Catarina Marie Gordon, 19, Grand Portage, who was found to have sold five “IP 205s,” or hydrocodone, for $65.
