The traditional Fisherman’s Picnic Run at Pincushion (hosted by the North Superior Ski and Run Club) will be an in-person event this year.
The NSSRC will mow the Pincushion trails this summer so you don’t need to wait until Fisherman’s Picnic to get out and enjoy walking or running on the trails. Registration for the Fisherman’s Picnic Run will open on June 15. You’ll need to pre-register for the event on-line to participate in the running or walking events on August 7. Preregistration will close at 6PM on August 6.
Pre-registration will be held through Friday, August 6 at 6 p.m. No exceptions! You can register at www.pincushiontrails.org starting June 15. Packet pickup begins at 8 a.m. on August 7 at the Pincushion chalet. Planned schedule of events: 9 a.m.– kids’ races age 8 and Up, 1/4 mile ages 9-12, 1 mile. At 9:45 a.m. there will be a 5-mile run or race walk.
At 9:50 a.m. there will be the non-competitive 3-mile run/walk. Fees: $10 kids, $20 non-competitive 3 mile; $30 for the 5 mile run or race walk. T-shirts for the first 70 entrants. Prizes: Treats to all 1/4 milers. Prize for overall 1 mile boys and girls winner, treats to all. Prizes to overall male and female 5 mile runners. Age Group winner awards in 5 mile run for male and female 19&U, 20-29, 30-39,40-49,50-59 60+. Prizes to overall 5-mile race walk winners, male and female,
