Fish Cake dinner rescheduled

Due to some confusion, the Uffda! Fish Cakes for Funds dinner has been cancelled for Tuesday, June 18 and rescheduled for Monday, June 24 at 6 p.m. at the Cook County Community Center in Grand Marais.

The extra time will allow the herring to get a little fatter and will make the fish cakes taste that much better!

The price will be $15 for adults and $5 for kids. Purchase your tickets at Blue Water Café or at the door on Monday.

All proceeds will go to Norwegian photojournalists, Kristian KålsrØd and Anton Ligaarden, to help them complete their documentary about Norwegian-Americans along the North Shore and Isle Royale.

Along with the meal there will be a sneak peak of the documentary, and some stories about Isle Royale and North Shore’s fishing history will be shared. And let’s not forget the Sven & Ole’s world champion joke teller will be on hand.

Great food, great stories and a world champion joke teller. Sounds like a great night. Come out and be part of it.
