Students in Ms. Spoon’s first grade physical education class have been among the Sawtooth Mountain Elementary students who have benefited from new equipment this year. Thanks to a generous Educator Grant from the Lions and Lioness Clubs of Cook County, the PE department received 24 new hula hoops, 30 beanbags, and 12 scoops with wiffle balls.

“These gifts have created many opportunities for new challenges in the gym, including practicing hand-eye coordination skills and learning new team games,” said Ms. Spoon.
