I have no doubt that we can call the Earth Day Fair held last night a huge success. We had 28 booths/organizations, nine speakers, three great music acts, and a couple hundred community members or more. It was great to see some of you in person and many of our friends out and about on a rainy Spring evening. With some minor adjustments for the sound of the band and the speakers, it went very well. Thank you to all who participated in helping set up, organizing, being a part of the event, and those who helped to clean up. Thanks to our co-sponsor Cook County Local Energy Project, and their director, Kat Meyo, who did a lot of heavy lifting in organizing the details on how we would get this done. This truly was a community effort and community event. I hope we began building and strengthening relationships and collaborations amongst all our community, governmental, and religious organizations that will bear real fruit in the months and years to come for Cook County and the world.
Our next MNIPL meeting is May 10th, Tuesday, 7:00 pm. Let us gather and work on our next goals for this group.
Peace,
Pastor Enno Limvere
