Sandi Pillsbury Gredzens will be the featured speaker Sunday, Sept. 26, at the Northwoods Pioneer Gallery and Gifts, 2821 Highway 61 in Castle Danger.
Sandi will have a demo and a talk from 1 to 3 p.m. about her recent experiences with plein air painting (painting outdoors). A “make and take” session of “direct observation drawing” in various drawing media will be available for participants. Thisis a free demonstration and is open to the public. Sandi will also answer questions, show her recent “plein air” work and show participants how to really look at the world.
Gredzens is a native Minnesota artist who lives in Castle Danger, not far from Northwoods Pioneer Gallery and Gifts. She is frequent participant in Grand Marais Art Colony activities. In addition to being a practicing artist for the past 40 years, she is also an art educator.
