Tracy Benson, retail manager at Buck’s Hardware Hank in Grand Marais, previously worked as a certified financial planner and retirement plans associate with Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., in Minneapolis. Benson will put on her financial planner hat for Cook County Higher Ed’s November Business Networking Luncheon. She will offer advice to business owners on Retirement: Making Your Next Big Adventure Come to Life.
The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at The Pie Place in Grand Marais. Cost for the luncheon is $15, payable at the door. Registration is required. To reserve a space, email highered@northshorecampus.org or call 218-387-3411.
Benson frames her presentation this way: “What is your next adventure? How do you envision life without your business? As a business owner, your ‘baby’ is most often your biggest investment. Let’s spend an hour framing your vision and exploring your options for the transition … whether it will be 20 years or two years from now. It’s never too early or too late to plan.”
The luncheon should be of interest to all sorts of business owners, from those who run retail shops, manufacturing concerns or resorts, to builders, plumbers, electricians and those who create artistic goods of all kinds. Join Benson for this informative hour and a half—and enjoy a Pie Place luncheon in the bargain.
Benson’s presentation is sponsored by Mjolnir Construction, residential general contractor, 40 Maple Hill Drive, Grand Marais, 218- 370-8011.
