Need money for college education or training? Come hear financial aid professional LaNita Robinson speak about federal financial aid and application tips in an interactive presentation beginning at 5:15 p.m. Feb. 26 at Higher Education’s Grand Marais campus.
Robinson will answer questions about financial aid such as what is the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal student Aid); completing the FAFSA (common trouble spots); when should you apply; and what is the difference between a grant, scholarship and loan?
This presentation is for adults going back to college, high school juniors and seniors, and parents and guardians. Robinson is currently the director of financial aid at Lake Superior College. She has over 13 years of experience in federal financial aid and says that despite all her years of experience, she still sees new things every day.
Free materials and handouts will be available. If you need help completing the FAFSA, staff will be on hand after the presentation to answer your questions. This information night is free of charge and open to all. For more information, call Cook County Higher Education at (218) 387-3411 or email highered@northshorecampus.org.
