If Cook County is already short of funds for the hospital, school and court system, how would it ever be able to care for a new community center and pool, golf course, business park, etc.?
It is time to re-boot (engage) the financial pre-frontal cortex in Cook County government. Cook County government should only be for roads, law enforcement, school and our medical care facility. It will probably be necessary for us to use the 1 percent sales tax just for the survival of these four entities.
