Join University of Minnesota Extension Educator John Bennett for a discussion of best business practices in providing service to online customers and clients at Cook County Higher Ed’s February Business Networking Luncheon on Feb. 29 at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon will be held at Chez Jude, 411 West Highway 61 in Grand Marais. Cost is $15.
According to Bennett, most businesses feel comfortable with their ability to provide top-notch customer service to patrons who walk into their stores, resorts and restaurants. They know the quality of service they provide will directly affect their bottom line, so they regularly provide employee training to enhance existing service skills.
However, as increasing numbers of businesses begin selling products and services on the Internet, they confront new customer-service challenges.
This discussion will cover basic online etiquette; how to respond to online customer complaints and praise; polling your customers to find out what they seek from your business, as well as several other online tools to react to their needs.
Bennett will speak at 11:30 a.m., with lunch and conversation to follow at 12:30 p.m.
To register for the luncheon, email highered@northshorecampus.org or call 387-3411 before Feb. 27.
