Wow! Contempt and it looks like a little jealousy all rolled up into one nonsensical political tale by Mr. Hjorth in his letter to the editor on December 14. It’s obvious that he doesn’t follow his own recommendations since the title of an article he wrote in August 2012 was “Reject nonsensical political preaching”. Regardless of the subject matter, this is good advice.
Let me offer another tale for consideration. This one is about a woman and man. The woman almost became the most powerful person in the world but thankfully didn’t. The man, her husband, actually did float to that position, only to disgrace himself by getting caught for lewd acts he had been committing for decades. The misdeeds committed by these two over the years were criminally egregious but somehow they were never held accountable until November 2016 when my tale came to a happy ending.
Let’s face it. Whichever political party someone supports, no one is going to change their opinions by reading silly and obviously biased letters to the paper regardless of how clever the author thinks they are being. I have always been happy that there has been so little “political preaching” in the letters written to this paper. I would like to see it stay that way.
