Fables of the North Shore, an art and story-telling exhibit by Jordan Sundberg and Natalie Salminen at Fika Coffee is closing with a bang and tuba honk! The exhibit centers around folklorish and original tales of the North Shore written by Jordan and Natalie. Along with the fables, they have created a wide range of pieces to illustrate the stories and morals of the stories, hung at Fika Coffee until September 24.
Saturday, September 24 from 2-4 p.m. on the grassy knoll by the Fika building a magical performance and celebration of the fables will unfold. From 2-3 p.m. will include fiddle music by Clancy Ward, puppet-making for kiddos, old-time accordion music with Norwegian and Finnish vocals.
From 3-4 p.m. will bring live, commissioned puppet performances of each of the five fables with a live narrator and accompaniment of accordion, tuba and guitar.
Surprises will be sprinkled throughout the event.
