Excuse our dust at Senior Center





There is always something happening at the Senior Center in Grand Marais. The Gentle Exercise Group meets at the Senior Center every Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome—you may exercise at your own pace, even from a chair if you prefer. Come stretch, strengthen, smile and laugh.

Building remodeling will be starting soon! The final financing has been secured, signed and delivered. We will try to remain open during the construction. And, we would like to apologize in advance for any possible inconvenience due to the construction.

Due to a recent dining survey we are rchanging the time that we serve lunch. eThe Senior Center will now be serving llunch at 12 noon instead of at 11:30 a.m. tReservations for lunch will still need to obe called in by 9:30 a.m. daily. Thanks to those who participated in the survey. We oalways are open to suggestions to help improve our services.

Weavers. The group meets at the Senior

Center the 4th Monday of each month

(Due to Memorial Day the May date is

Monday the 21st) from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. This is an open group, welcome to all folks with an interest in writing. Come and share your writing ideas and skills, poetry, memoirs or any type of creative writing. It is a great chance to share and critique along with your peers.

Do you enjoy quilting? Have an interest in sharing and learning about quilting? The Pincushion Quilters Group meets at the Senior Center the 1st and

3rd Thursdays of every month from

10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If you are not a quilter, stop by to enjoy their beautiful handiwork. You will be amazed!

We have some fun outings planned for the month of May. On Sunday, May

6, a group of 38 of us will be travelling to Duluth to enjoy the Cirque du Soleil

Quidam Show.

On Thursday, May 10, there is a Duluth lunch and shopping trip. Enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat brunch with us at Naniboujou Lodge on Sunday, May 20. For further information and to register for any of these trips, please contact the Senior Center at (218) 387-2660.

There will also be two trips to Grand Portage in May, on Monday, May 7 and Tuesday, May 22. We leave the Senior Center at 9:45 a.m., return at approximately

 

 

3:30 p.m. The transportation is free! With the price of gas these days, how could you not take advantage of this great deal? Everyone age 50 and older will receive $10 in free slot play and $5 off a lunch entrée in the restaurant. On Tuesday May 22, you may enter a free and very fun slot tournament.
