State Rep. Erin Murphy, a DFL candidate for governor, will be in Grand Marais on Sunday, Aug. 5.
Murphy will hold a “meet and greet” on Sunday at 11:45 a.m. at the Wunderbar before marching in the Fisherman’s Picnic parade at 1 p.m.
Murphy won the DFL party’s endorsement at the delegate convention, but U.S. Representative Tim Waltz has said he will challenge her in the upcoming Aug. 14 primary.
Murphy is the former majority leader of the Minnesota House and is a former executive director of the Minnesota Nurses Association and is a registered nurse (R.N.) She and her husband Joe Faust, who is a painting contractor, have two children.
