Empty Bowls soup feed is Nov. 14





The Empty Bowls Fundraiser will be held Nov. 14 at a new location – St. John’s Catholic Church. The event is the largest fundraiser for the local food shelf, and last year served soup to 510 hungry people, raising nearly $7,000. That’s a lot of soup!

Empty Bowls Soup Lunch and Dinner will be here Nov. 14. This is the single-largest fundraiser for the local food shelf and last year served soup to 510 people, raising $6,905.

This year’s Empty Bowls Lunch and Dinner and silent auction will be held Nov. 14 at St. John’s Catholic Church. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and dinner from 5 to 7 p.m.

Before and after eating, check out the wonderful silent auction items that have been donated by dozens of community businesses.

Patrons will receive a tasty local soup and a beautiful handcrafted Grand Marais Art Colony bowl. If you aren’t able to attend you can still make a donation to the event by mailing it to Kelsey Kennedy, Attn: Empty Bowls, P.O. Box 413, Grand Marais, MN 55604.
