I value education. I value my son’s education and the education of my community. One of the most valuable pieces of education we can give our children and our community is that of fiscal responsibility. As a community and a nation we’ve repeatedly forgotten that the foremost solution to financial problems is living and operating within and sometimes beneath our means.
I support our school system. I support events and activities that promote community and learning. I do this with my time and attention, in addition to paying taxes. We are faced with dynamic and compounding issues that are all connected: affordable housing, childcare, school budget. It will take time to solve these issues. And patience.
Perhaps within our community we can find the talent that can make do with what we have, instead of putting additional strain on an already very expensive place to live.
