Ecumenical service inspiring

We’d like to express our appreciation to Paul Muus, Jamie Ryan, and Pastor Mark Ditmanson for the wonderful ecumenical Christian praise service they hosted at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Sunday May 3.

Each spring, year after year, Paul Muus throws his efforts and talents into organizing these evenings. And each year he’s been successful in creating an evening of worship where people from many different churches can come together and simply worship side by side. What a thrill to see pastors and members from so many different churches in attendance singing together enjoying one another’s fellowship.

This year the evening was made even sweeter by the addition of the youth worship band Stalemate. Their music was original, inspiring and passionate. It was equally inspiring to see that a number of different churches were represented by the members of this band.

We wanted to extend a hearfelt thank you to youth minister Jamie Ryan for the time and effort he’s put into this band. It’s a delicate job, working with young people from so many church backgrounds—making them feel welcome and valued—and Jamie does it well. He’s encouraged these young people, “hung out” with them, listened to them, prayed with them, and finally… he’s encouraged them to put their faith into practice by writing and performing music that inspires others.

Thank you again, Bethlehem, Paul, Jamie and Pastor Mark… for opening doors and bringing people in this community together.
