The Order of Eastern Star, Emera Chapter 160 has contributed books to three North Shore communities.

With the able direction of Worthy Matron Robin Naslund, the chapter was pleased to donate a total of $600 worth of books to three elementary schools on the North Shore: Sawtooth Elementary of Grand Marais, Kelley Elementary of Silver Bay, and Minnehaha Elementary of Two Harbors.

The books requested by the librarians ranged from field guides and other informational resources about plants, insects, rocks and animals common on the North Shore to classics like Anne of Green Gables and The Hobbit to 2011 Caldecott Medal winner A Sick Day for Amos McGee and the 2011 Newberry Winner Moon Over Manifest, among many others.
