For his outstanding play on the defensive line Jacobsen was awarded Viking Defensive Player of the week.

Thomas Anderson earned the “Big Hit of the Week” for a huge crack-back block he threw in the second half.

Everything clicked for the Vikings. They scored touchdowns on their first four possessions and held the flightless Eagles to 24 yards of offense for the first half.

Defensively Jacob Schroeder had 8 tackles and one fumble recovery. Everson contributed 11 tackles and Anderson had 6 tackles while Warren chipped in 4 tackles.

The second half saw quite a few Viking reserves seeing action whilsome of the starters caught their breath.

“I was really proud of how our guys responded after not having a game last week,” Dorr said.

While the veterans played well, Dorr said, “We are really waiting for some younger guys to step up and help our veterans. I thought Joe Borud played very well defensively from his safety position. He has a nice interception in the second quarter and continues to improve each day.”

The Vikings are now 4-1 on the year and face Deer River at Deer River this Friday and then play Braham Friday, October 12, for their Homecoming game.
