Early lead slips away for Senior Legion Cook County/Silver Bay

Cook County/Silver Bay Senior Legion baseball team took a 2-0 lead after the first inning in their July 10 game against Proctor and then ran out of offense.

Meanwhile, the floodgates opened for Proctor hitters who collected 19 hits and ten walks on their way to a seven inning 19-2 win.

Proctor scored six in the fourth and eight runs in the seventh while blanking the Vikings the rest of the way.

J Shannon was 2-3 at the plate and Ethan Tate was 1-1 with a walk. They were the only Viking’s to get a hit in the game.

Proctor’s pitcher B. Imhoff gave up two runs, three hits and struck out ten while walking five.

The Vikings used four pitchers in the game, but none were able to stop the onslaught of the Proctor batters.
