Driver crashes at Pigeon River border crossing




A Neebing, Ontario woman was injured Saturday, December 6 when her Honda Civic struck a median and then hit a Canadian customs sign at the Pigeon River border crossing between Ontario and Minnesota.

The 66-year-old woman was traveling south on Ontario Highway 61 to the Canada Border Services station when the crash occurred at about 10 a.m., Canadian time.

The woman was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Her vehicle sustained extensive damage.

According to the TBNewsWatch.com, a citation was issued by Ontario Provincial Police for careless driving.
