Drive-in movies at Zoar Church


Join us for a drive-in movie at Zoar Church in Tofte. This fall we are pleased to bring you films that emphasize how ordinary people can do amazing things through faith in an extraordinary God. All movies begin at 7:00 PM. Just drive into the church parking lot and tune in to 107.9 FM for audio. Movies are free but you are welcome to place a free-will donation in the drop box before or after the film.

Harriet – Tuesday October 13

After she escaped slavery in 1849, Minty Ross, aka Harriet Tubman, felt led by God to assist hundreds to escape slavery as the only female conductor on the Underground Railroad. Nicknamed “Moses”, Tubman also served in the US army as a nurse, advisor, scout, and spy. (PG13)

Woodlawn – Wednesday October 21

The football team is a microcosm of the powder keg of anger that is Birmingham, Alabama’s newly desegregated Woodlawn High School in 1973. Player Tony Nathan must learn to boldly embrace his talent and his faith in order to battle racial tensions on and off the field. (PG)

Luther – Wednesday October 28

German monk and college professor Martin Luther discovers in the Bible God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. After nailing his 95 Theses to the Wittenberg church door in 1517, Luther faces accusations of heresy yet he stands firm on the Word of God. (PG13)

The 33 – Wednesday November 4

When the San José mine in Chile’s Atacama Desert collapses in 2010, 33 men are trapped deep beneath the surface. Despite different backgrounds and life choices, the 33 come together with only their faith to keep them alive as their families mount a desperate rescue. (PG13)
