Strategic Air Command B-47 and B-52 jet bombers will begin flying low-level missions over Grand Marais within the next few weeks. The mammoth jet bombers will fly both day and night missions in all types of weather. The low-level flying will increase the Air Command’s combat crew proficiency, enabling the crews to perform any bombing tactic in any type of weather, day or night. Grand Marais is along an air route recently approved by the Federal Aviation Agency for use by the Strategic Air Command in its low-level training. Six B-47 jets and eight B-52 jets will fly at altitudes of 1,000 feet above the highest point along their routes.

Speedboat ownership has increased the past few years to the point where it is necessary to have easy access to the harbor.

Newspapers all over Germany and Austria recently published news about a bold “robbery of millions from the United States Treasury.” This was an elaborate fake news story with detailed illustrations. The story was part of an April Fool’s Day prank in the United States that was then presented as real news in Europe.

The fountain of youth is in one’s self. One must keep one’s self young inside. When the human mind ceases to exert itself, when there is no longer an active interest in the affairs of this life, when the human stops reading and thinking and doing, they begin to die. You are as old as you think you are. Keep the harness on. Your job is not done.
