The Cook County Council on Aging has given the go-ahead to a committee to explore the possibility of purchasing the City Limits Restaurant facility. The group has been brainstorming and dreaming about a “Generations” facility that could meet the needs of a wide variety of groups. Ideas such as a lunch program that would be open to all ages as well as senior citizens. Pool tournaments between teens and seniors. A place to hold the county fair or workshops. The current facility for senior citizens is not large enough and there is a plan to add on — but even then it might not be adequate.
