Dona M. Thomas Rodgers, 89, passed away on September 1, 2016.

She was born on January 15, 1927 in Columbiana, Ohio to Walter and Vesta (Farmer) Thomas. She graduated Columbiana High School in 1945.

She worked at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital before moving to Grand Marais in 1962 where she worked for the Cook County Highway Department and the North Shore Hospital.

Dona moved to Leetonia, Ohio in 1970 and worked for at Buckeye Industrial Coal Mine Company in Lisbon, Ohio where she retired in 1992.

For the last 20 years she has spent her life living in Naples, Florida enjoying new friends and the warm weather.

Dona is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Vesta Thomas; her husband, Ben Rodgers; her brother, Lee Thomas; her daughter, Becky Caldwell Eames; her son, Bobby Rodgers; her sons-in law, David Eames and Bill Napierkoski; and her nephew, Eric Thomas.

She is survived by her brother, Dick (Peg) Thomas of Sun City West, Arizona; son Tom (Terry) Caldwell of Duluth; son Tim (Laurie) Caldwell of Yakima, Washington; daughter Anna Napierkoski of Sharon, Pennsylvania and daughter Dawn Marie Lindquist of Fishers, Indiana. She also is survived by nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
