Do we want a shipping container store?

It’s nice to see the town of Grand Marais changing. We don’t want a Big Box store in town, but we will put up a Hooverville small store to cut into small local business percentages.

Packing containers are supposed to be moveable not left in place year round. If they are, where are the utilities going into the business, i.e., sewer, water, electrical? One must have a building permit affixed to a structure going up. Are aforementioned containers having insurance on them and who is insuring them?

Furthermore, they are covering up hand-painted murals of the town from the ‘20s and ‘30s by a deceased local artist. Is this what we want in Grand Marais for out-of-town visitors to see?

I have traveled around the world and seen much better ruins from the Romans.
