With the special election coming soon, I’d like to encourage voters to support Bob Svaleson for County Commissioner. He has faithfully served this nation with nine years of U. S. Naval service and, from his first arrival in the area, has become a valued member of the Hovland Fire Department as both firefighter and EMR. He volunteers as an ambulance driver and often drives folks in need to Duluth for medical care. Since coming to Cook County, he quickly became a voice against waste in the county budget.
In the private sector, he dealt with the complexities of complicated budgets and would be a wonderful voice against unwarranted spending of hard-earned tax dollars. Bob would be a great independent voice with no allegiance to either political party and an unbiased view of the needs of Cook County. Please consider Bob for our next commissioner.
