Thinking about going to college, but don’t know where to start? The Destination College event at Cook County Higher Education is for you to explore your options, whether you are an adult returning to college or a high school student considering college choices for the first time.
Kirsten van den Berg, director of education at Higher Ed, said, “Join us at North Shore Campus on October 28 at 5:30 p.m. for an hour and a half discussion of the college planning process.”
Van den Berg said participants will learn about the different types of colleges, how to select and apply to colleges, how to prepare for college, and how to pay for college. “Bring your college questions to this highly interactive event. It is never too late to begin your higher education journey,” said van den Berg.
Featured speakers include new Cook County High School Academic and Career Guidance Coordinator Amanda Burggraff, director of education at the Grand Portage Department of Education Haley Brickner and van den Berg.
