Debra passed away April 12, 2021, at the North Shore Care Center after a lengthy illness. Born to Alfred and Gladys Rindahl on September 27, 1951, she shared the same birthday with her mother and maternal grandmother.
Debra was confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on May 22, 1966, and graduated from Cook County High School in 1969. She was married to Murray Berry during the late 70’s and early 80’s. Debra was a dedicated Nursing Assistant at the North Shore Care Center for over 40 years. She loved cooking and baking, which she was very good at.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister Beverly, brothers Ronnie and Gary Rindahl, and a son, Joshua, who died of leukemia shortly before his 10th birthday in 1988. She is survived by her son Jason Rindahl of Duluth, sisters: Gail Rindahl of Duluth, and Sandy (Terry) Anderson, of Grand Marais, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family will hold a memorial service sometime over the summer when the pandemic has eased, and friends and family can gather safely.
