Deanna June Jensen (Dyer) born March 4, 1947, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2013 at home with her loving family by her side.
Deanna spent 33 years battling cancer. She was diagnosed with two different episodes of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, two different episodes of breast cancer, plus carcinoid tumors of her intestinal tract. She spent most her of adult life dealing with treatment options. She was always supported by her family but especially by her devoted and loving husband Wayne. Deanna outlived her prognosis numerous times, especially the past nine months when repeatedly the family was told death was eminent. Her strength to continue living was a marvel to her caregivers.
Deanna was preceded in death by her mother and father Eileen and Edwin Dyer.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband Wayne. She is also survived by her daughter Kimberly(Jason) Metzgar, Kelly (Jim) Sunderland; step-son, Todd Campbell; grandchildren Michael, Kyle, Nicholas, Zack and William; sister Harriet (Ken) Link, brothers Dennis (Susan) Dyer, and Jim Dyer plus many nieces and nephews.
Deanna was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and grandmother. One of her last wishes is that her grandchildren will always remember her.
Deanna has donated her body to the University of MN. A remembrance and celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
