David Wells Clutter, 91, died February 19, 2016.
David was the beloved husband of Anita L. (nee Benson) for 27 years; loving father of David (Deb), Edward (Kay), Paul (Ginger), Carolyn (Arn) Taylor, Richard (Debbie) Lebbin, Jr., Esther Lebbin and Mary (Doug) Cecola; proud grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of seven.
A World War II Army veteran David was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.) and the Grand Marais American Legion. Since retirement he lived on the Gunflint Trail and worked with the Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department. David loved the wilderness.
For many years, David provided the Gunflint Trail weather report to the Cook County News-Herald.
Interment was held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis on Thursday, February 25.
